R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, April 17, 1999, will long be remembered by our 1-2 esteemed colleague, State Representative Mark Steven Homer, and his 1-3 lovely wife, Jennifer Homer, for that day marked the birth of their 1-4 beautiful baby daughter, Hanna Ray Homer; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Hanna weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 20 1-6 inches in length when she made her debut at 5:55 a.m. at the 1-7 Women's Center of the McCuiston Regional Medical Center in Paris, 1-8 Texas, and her adorable little countenance was framed by a full 1-9 head of blond hair; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The long-awaited arrival of this beloved new Texan 1-11 has brought great joy to her parents, as well as to her maternal 1-12 grandparents, Edwin Ray and Jenette Alford, and her paternal 1-13 grandparents, Frank and Molly Homer; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Hanna will no doubt wear as much maroon as she does 1-15 pink throughout her childhood, as Representative Homer graduated 1-16 from Texas A&M University in 1984 before earning his M.B.A. from 1-17 Angelo State University in 1989, while Hanna's mother, Jennifer, 1-18 graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 prior to embarking on 1-19 her career as a fourth grade teacher for the North Lamar 1-20 Independent School District; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Hanna will surely thrive in the loving embrace 1-22 formed by her parents, extended family, and friends--a circle that 1-23 will undoubtedly nurture this fine young Texan throughout her life; 1-24 it is with great pleasure that the members of this chamber formally 2-1 announce the birth of a new citizen of the Lone Star State and 2-2 congratulate her parents on this joyous occasion; now, therefore, 2-3 be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-5 Legislature hereby officially welcome Hanna Ray Homer as a new 2-6 citizen of Texas and extend heartfelt congratulations to State 2-7 Representative Mark Steven Homer and Jennifer Homer on the birth of 2-8 their cherished daughter; and, be it further 2-9 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-10 prepared for Hanna Ray Homer and her parents as an expression of 2-11 highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
