R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Mission's Kenneth White Junior High School is
 1-2     celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special assembly
 1-3     highlighting the school's "Evolution of Excellence," and all those
 1-4     associated with this noteworthy institution are to be commended for
 1-5     its decade of accomplishment; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, The "Evolution of Excellence" theme celebrates the
 1-7     school's faculty, staff, and student body and recognizes their
 1-8     continued commitment to academic achievement and success; the
 1-9     assembly will also feature a ceremony dedicating the school's new
1-10     science wing to the late Romulo Montalvo, one of the school's first
1-11     teachers; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Education is indeed the cornerstone for a successful
1-13     and prosperous future, and by emphasizing the importance of this
1-14     fundamental idea and providing a solid academic background for
1-15     their students, the faculty and staff of Kenneth White Junior High
1-16     School are doing their part to ensure that these young people reach
1-17     their fullest potential; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby recognize May 7, 1999, as Kenneth White Junior
1-20     High School Day and pay tribute to the school's faculty, staff, and
1-21     student body for their dedication to academic excellence; and, be
1-22     it further
1-23           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-24     prepared for Kenneth White Junior High School to commemorate this
 2-1     occasion  and as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
 2-2     Representatives.
