                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The equestrian accomplishments of Longview
 1-2     16-year-old Bonnie Claire Jacobson are truly outstanding, and her
 1-3     hard work and dedication are indeed worthy of special praise and
 1-4     recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Ms. Jacobson has been competing in the American
 1-6     Paint Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association of America
 1-7     for the past five years all over the United States, and she worked
 1-8     many long hours and demonstrated an extraordinary amount of
 1-9     commitment; and
1-10           WHEREAS, This dynamic youngster competed in two shows a
1-11     month, in addition to larger competitions such as stock shows in
1-12     Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Jackson, Mississippi, while
1-13     maintaining her school grades, serving as a cheerleader and Z-club
1-14     member, and being active in the county 4-H judging group; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Some of the accolades Ms. Jacobson has received
1-16     include Registers of Merit and Championships from both the American
1-17     Paint Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association of America,
1-18     as well as a host of National Champion Youth awards earned in June
1-19     1998 at the Pinto Horse Association National Championship
1-20     competitions held in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Bonnie Claire Jacobson has distinguished herself as
1-22     a young woman of exceptional ability whose remarkable equestrian
1-23     accomplishments point to a future bright with promise, and it is
1-24     indeed fitting at this time to recognize this notable young Texan,
 2-1     along with her caring parents, Bonnie and Eddie, for their tireless
 2-2     efforts; now, therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-4     Legislature hereby commend Bonnie Claire Jacobson for her
 2-5     equestrian accomplishments and extend to her sincere best wishes
 2-6     for continued success and happiness in the years to come; and, be
 2-7     it further
 2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-9     prepared for Ms. Jacobson as an expression of high regard by the
2-10     Texas House of Representatives.
