                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The recent passing of Margaret "Peggy" Polk Boepple
 1-2     on April 11, 1999, at the age of 56, brought a great loss to the
 1-3     family and many friends of this remarkable woman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born November 10, 1942, Mrs. Boepple graduated from
 1-5     Bay City High School in 1960 and The University of Texas at Austin
 1-6     four years later; a successful businesswoman, she owned and
 1-7     operated Matagorda and Clark pharmacies from 1971 to 1992, after
 1-8     which she served as a travel consultant until 1997; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Throughout the years she donated her time and
1-10     talents to many notable organizations; active with the Catholic
1-11     Daughters, she was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a
1-12     past president of the school board and served as secretary of the
1-13     Holy Cross School Foundation; she also participated in the Junior
1-14     Service League and was past president of the Bay City Book Review
1-15     Club as well; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Although Margaret "Peggy" Polk Boepple will be
1-17     deeply missed, her bright spirit will continue to live on in the
1-18     hearts and minds of all those fortunate enough to have known her,
1-19     and it is indeed appropriate to honor her memory at this time; now,
1-20     therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Margaret "Peggy" Polk
1-23     Boepple and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
1-24     to her children and their spouses, Beth and Daryl Gambrell and
 2-1     Laura and Chris Pustejovsky; to her father, Roy Alton Polk; to her
 2-2     brother and his wife, Steve and Henrietta Polk; to her
 2-3     grandchildren, Ty Patrick Pustejovsky, Seth David Pustejovsky, and
 2-4     Sydney Laura Gambrell; and to her many other relatives and friends;
 2-5     and, be it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
 2-8     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 2-9     Margaret "Peggy" Polk Boepple.
