R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Jacob Ryan Rebecek of Round Rock on
 1-2     December 17, 1998, at the age of 19, has brought a great loss to
 1-3     the family and many friends of this esteemed young Texan; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, He was born on November 14, 1979, to Sandi and Larry
 1-5     Rebecek; together with his brother, Jerod, Jacob and his family
 1-6     shared much love and many joyful memories during their years
 1-7     together; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, A graduate of McNeil High School in Round Rock,
 1-9     Mr. Rebecek was active in a number of student organizations,
1-10     including the National Honor Society and BITS; his determination
1-11     and drive earned him admission into Texas A&M University where he
1-12     was an honors student with a 4.0 grade point average; and
1-13           WHEREAS, In addition to family and school, faith was very
1-14     important to Mr. Rebecek; with a strong belief in God, this
1-15     admirable young man had committed himself to making a difference in
1-16     this world and to living a life that served as a positive example
1-17     for others; and
1-18           WHEREAS, He was blessed with a host of good friends, and they
1-19     will always remember him for the laughter and friendship they
1-20     shared; though Mr. Rebecek will be deeply missed, his spirit will
1-21     surely live on in the hearts and minds of the many people whose
1-22     lives he touched, and it is indeed appropriate to honor his memory
1-23     at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jacob Ryan Rebecek
 2-2     and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 2-3     parents, Sandi and Larry Rebecek; to his brother, Jerod Rebecek; to
 2-4     his grandparents, Rex and Edna Rebecek and Rosemary Lievens; to his
 2-5     aunts, uncles, and cousins; and to the many friends of this fine
 2-6     young man; and, be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-8     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
 2-9     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-10     Jacob Ryan Rebecek.
