R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride
 1-2     in recognizing Gladys Gerst, outgoing city commissioner of
 1-3     Sweetwater, for her invaluable service to the city indeed merits
 1-4     special legislative recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, For more than a decade, Ms. Gerst has dedicated her
 1-6     time and talents  to representing the citizens of Precinct 3 on the
 1-7     board of the Sweetwater City Commission; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Her tenure in city government was marked with many
 1-9     achievements that were much admired by her fellow commissioners and
1-10     citizens alike; and
1-11           WHEREAS, At her final meeting as Precinct 3 commissioner,
1-12     Ms. Gerst was presented with a special award commemorating her
1-13     committed effort in behalf of the residents of Sweetwater; and
1-14           WHEREAS, As Ms. Gerst moves toward  new challenges and
1-15     opportunities, it is a pleasure to join her many friends and
1-16     colleagues in honoring her at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby commend Gladys Gerst for her service to the city
1-19     of Sweetwater and extend to her warmest best wishes for great
1-20     happiness and success in the future; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for Ms. Gerst as an expression of high regard by the Texas
1-23     House of Representatives.
