No. 975 76R16180 GMW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Andrew Cedric Rihn of Spring has earned the 1-2 prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, and this noteworthy distinction is 1-3 indeed worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, On May 4, 1999, his proud family and the members and 1-5 leaders of Boy Scout Troop 1565 convened at an Eagle Scout Court of 1-6 Honor to commemorate this auspicious achievement; and 1-7 WHEREAS, This admirable young man is an honor student and 1-8 two-year letterman in track and cross-country at Spring High 1-9 School; he has been active in scouting for nine years, and in that 1-10 time he has been awarded 21 merit badges; and 1-11 WHEREAS, To reach the rank of Eagle Scout, Mr. Rihn worked 1-12 diligently to complete the rigorous qualifications; for his service 1-13 project he planned and constructed a prayer trail, which features 1-14 five meditation sites with benches and scripture stands, for 1-15 Cypress Trails United Methodist Church in Spring; and 1-16 WHEREAS, In addition to currently serving as junior assistant 1-17 scoutmaster, Mr. Rihn is a member of the Order of the Arrow with 1-18 Brotherhood and has received such accolades as the Arrow of Light, 1-19 God and Life Award, and Mile Swim award; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Rihn has demonstrated superior ability, 1-21 dedication, and judgment in pursuit of his new rank, and as this 1-22 talented young man embraces a future bright with promise, it is 1-23 truly fitting that he be recognized for his most recent 1-24 accomplishment; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew Cedric Rihn for attaining 2-3 the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for 2-4 continued success and happiness; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Andrew Cedric Rihn as an expression of high regard by 2-7 the Texas House of Representatives.
