                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Frank Peter Zoch III on June 22,
 1-2     1998, at the age of 56, brought a great loss to the family and many
 1-3     friends of this distinguished gentleman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mr. Zoch was born June 3, 1942, in
 1-5     Corpus Christi; he graduated from the Tabor Academy in Marion,
 1-6     Massachusetts, and attended The University of Texas at Austin
 1-7     before moving to New York City, where he served as an investment
 1-8     banker and was co-founder and president of the diversified holding
 1-9     company Netter International; and
1-10           WHEREAS, After 27 years in New York City he returned to Texas
1-11     in 1991, dividing his time between his home in the Hill Country and
1-12     San Antonio; Mr. Zoch remained active in business and investing and
1-13     later founded Microstone Automated Building Systems, L.L.C.; and
1-14           WHEREAS, A valued member of First United Methodist Church in
1-15     Kerrville, Mr. Zoch was a former director of the Boston Celtics and
1-16     was a member of the board of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson
1-17     Hospital of Houston, Schreiner College in Kerrville, and the
1-18     Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts; he was also active
1-19     with The Young Presidents Organization, The World President's
1-20     Organization, Clove Valley Rod and Gun Club in New York, Racquet
1-21     Club of New York City, San Antonio Country Club, Argyle Club, Order
1-22     of the Alamo, and Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville; and
1-23           WHEREAS, Although Frank Peter Zoch III is deeply missed, his
1-24     spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all those fortunate
 2-1     enough to have known him, and it is indeed fitting to pay tribute
 2-2     to him at this time; now, therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-4     Legislature hereby honor the memory of Frank Peter Zoch III and
 2-5     extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife,
 2-6     Marion Chandler Zoch; to his children, Laura Frances Zoch, Rhonda
 2-7     Zoch Given, Frank Peter Zoch IV, Patricia Zoch Smith, Elizabeth
 2-8     Chandler Zoch, and Frank Morgan Zoch; to his sons-in-law,
 2-9     Christopher Lee Given and Ryan Scott Smith; to his grandchild,
2-10     Grace Faye Given; to his sisters, Frances Zoch Fulton and Patricia
2-11     Zoch Fergon; to his brother-in-law, Joseph R. Fulton; to his
2-12     sisters-in-law, Judy Kimble Chandler and Joyce Chandler King and
2-13     her husband, Wayne Hamilton King; and to his many other relatives
2-14     and friends; and, be it further
2-15           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-16     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
2-17     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-18     Frank Peter Zoch III.
