                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On June 19, 1999, members of the Snider family will
 1-2     gather in Bremond, Texas, for their annual family reunion and the
 1-3     Texas House of Representatives is proud to recognize this fine
 1-4     family for their exceptional contributions to our state; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Each year the Snider clan gathers to reflect on its
 1-6     distinctive history, to pay tribute to those relatives who have
 1-7     passed on, and to recall the bonds that have united them for
 1-8     generations; descendants attending the annual meetings are
 1-9     refreshed and strengthened as they celebrate their Polish heritage
1-10     and reweave the delicate fabric of kinship so easily stretched by
1-11     time and distance; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Against difficult odds, ancestors of the Snider
1-13     family risked everything they had to journey to a new land, where
1-14     they labored faithfully and painstakingly to better themselves;
1-15     they ultimately emerged triumphant, not only improving their own
1-16     lives, but also contributing to the rich cultural heritage and
1-17     economic development of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby recognize June 19, 1999, as Snider Family Day in
1-20     Texas and extend warmest best wishes to all family members who
1-21     attend the festivities for a delightful and rewarding reunion; and,
1-22     be it further
1-23           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-24     prepared for the Snider family as an expression of highest regard
 2-1     by the Texas House of Representatives.
