R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Ann Marie Honeycutt, an outstanding young resident of Goldthwaite,
 1-3     for her myriad achievements; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, The daughter of longtime Capitol Complex employee
 1-5     Johnny Honeycutt, Ms. Honeycutt is currently a junior ranked at the
 1-6     top of her class at Star High School and she has achieved honor
 1-7     roll status each grading period since entering high school in the
 1-8     1996-1997 school year; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, This accomplished 17-year-old has participated in
1-10     the UIL accounting competition and has also been selected by the
1-11     Mills County Farm Bureau to attend leadership training in San
1-12     Angelo; in addition, she has earned special recognition by the
1-13     Central Texas Region Foster Child of the Year program for two
1-14     consecutive years; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Ms.  Honeycutt placed second in a contest at the
1-16     Mills County Livestock Show with a sewing project that was based on
1-17     a 1950s-style dress pattern, and in another competition at the
1-18     show, this multi-talented young lady took home a fourth-place
1-19     ranking for her steer; and
1-20           WHEREAS, In her leisure time, Ms. Honeycutt devotes herself
1-21     to youth activities at her church and she also serves as the Star
1-22     Tiger football team mascot; and
1-23            WHEREAS, This remarkable young Texan's initiative,
1-24     dedication, and maturity are an inspiration to all who know her,
 2-1     and she is indeed worthy of special recognition at this time; now,
 2-2     therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-4     Legislature hereby commend Ann Marie Honeycutt on her exemplary
 2-5     commitment to her studies and to her community and extend to her
 2-6     best wishes for great success and happiness in all her future
 2-7     endeavors; and, be it further
 2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-9     prepared for Ms. Honeycutt as an expression of high regard by the
2-10     Texas House of Representatives.
