                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Ana Irene Garcia on her graduation from The University of Texas at
 1-3     Austin; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia aspired from the age of four to earn her
 1-5     degree from The University of Texas, and after graduating from
 1-6     Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio in 1995, she now
 1-7     stands at the threshold of realizing that childhood dream; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan is recognized by her
 1-9     professors and her fellow students to be an accomplished scholar,
1-10     and her commendable efforts are emblematic of her desire to perform
1-11     academically at the highest possible level; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia's achievement is a source of tremendous
1-13     pride to her parents, Linda and Humberto G. Garcia, both of whom
1-14     are graduates of The University of Texas at Austin, as well as her
1-15     grandparents, Benigno and Irene Garcia and Ramon and Anabelia Ruiz;
1-16     and
1-17           WHEREAS, Attaining a college degree is truly a notable
1-18     milestone, for it represents the culmination of years of work in
1-19     the academic arena, and in light of this achievement it is
1-20     appropriate that Ana Irene Garcia receive special recognition at
1-21     this time; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate Ana Irene Garcia on her graduation
1-24     from The University of Texas and extend to her sincere best wishes
 2-1     for success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for Ms. Garcia as an expression of high regard from the
 2-4     Texas House of Representatives.
