No. 1063 76R16856(4) GMW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Gordon Niamatali has earned the distinction of being 1-2 the valedictorian at Med High School, and for achieving this 1-3 auspicious honor he is truly deserving of special legislative 1-4 recognition; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Earning the right to call oneself "valedictorian" 1-6 requires not only intellect and aptitude, but four years of 1-7 dedication to the highest academic standards; the valedictorian 1-8 must display a firm understanding of the entire curriculum, from 1-9 math and science to language arts to social studies, while 1-10 demonstrating an unwavering commitment to education; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The valedictorian serves as a role model and leads 1-12 by example, combining a steadfast vision of excellence with a 1-13 tenacious enthusiasm; the competition for this coveted honor is 1-14 often fierce, although the spirit of the rivalry remains rooted in 1-15 a tradition of goodwill, and the rewards of the countless hours of 1-16 study and preparation are myriad; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Mr. Niamatali has earned the respect and admiration 1-18 of his friends and classmates at Med High School, and as he 1-19 embraces a future bright with promise, it is most fitting to pay 1-20 tribute to him for this outstanding accomplishment; now, therefore, 1-21 be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby congratulate Gordon Niamatali on being named the 1-24 1999 valedictorian at Med High School and wish him well in all his 2-1 future endeavors; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for Mr. Niamatali as an expression of high regard by the 2-4 Texas House of Representatives.
