R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Munday High School Mogulettes track team has
 1-2     achieved the pinnacle of success in their sport by winning the 1999
 1-3     UIL Class 1A state championship; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Competing at Mike Myers Stadium on the campus of The
 1-5     University of Texas at Austin, the Mogulettes 800-meter relay team
 1-6     of Nicole Urbanczyk, Laci Myers, Amanda Myers, and Anna Marie
 1-7     Waldrip won the event in convincing fashion, and Ms. Waldrip also
 1-8     took gold in the 200-meter dash; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Trailing by a small margin with only one event
1-10     remaining in the meet, the 1,600-meter relay team of Laurie Welch,
1-11     Megan Myers, Laci Myers, and Anna Marie Waldrip demonstrated true
1-12     championship heart, taking second place to claim the state title;
1-13     and
1-14           WHEREAS, Coach Jeff Guice provided outstanding leadership and
1-15     guidance, enabling each member of the Mogulettes team to perform to
1-16     the best of her ability; and
1-17           WHEREAS, These exceptional young athletes, with their coaches
1-18     and staff, are a source of tremendous pride for the students and
1-19     faculty at Munday High School and for their many supporters in the
1-20     community, and it is indeed appropriate that they be honored in
1-21     light of their recent achievement; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Munday High
1-24     School Mogulettes track team on winning the 1999 UIL Class 1A state
 2-1     championship and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
 2-2     success; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for prominent display at Munday High School as an
 2-5     expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
