R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Robert Contreras has recently won election to the
 1-2     board of trustees of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School
 1-3     District, and it is an appropriate opportunity to honor him for his
 1-4     exemplary dedication to enhancing the education of Texas
 1-5     schoolchildren; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Providing young citizens with a quality education is
 1-7     essential to creating a prosperous future for our state and nation,
 1-8     and public schools are the cornerstone of this crucial endeavor;
 1-9     and
1-10           WHEREAS, Local school board members unite their efforts with
1-11     those of parents, classroom teachers, and other education
1-12     professionals to provide the best possible learning environment for
1-13     area students; and
1-14           WHEREAS, The individuals who serve on local school boards are
1-15     fueled by an unwavering commitment to meeting students' current
1-16     needs and to anticipating future challenges as well; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Robert Contreras seeks to broaden the path of
1-18     educational opportunity for students in his area, and he is indeed
1-19     worthy of special recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Contreras on his election to
1-22     the board of trustees of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent
1-23     School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for future
1-24     success; and, be it further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Robert Contreras as an expression of high regard by
 2-3     the Texas House of Representatives.
