No. 1210 76R16600 MXM-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State 1-2 of Texas, 76th Legislature, Regular Session, 1999, That House Rule 1-3 13, Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 1-4 13, Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to 1-5 resolve the differences between the house and senate versions of 1-6 H.B. No. 3799, relating to the creation of the East Downtown 1-7 Management District, providing authority to impose a tax and issue 1-8 bonds, to consider and take actions on the following matters: 1-9 (1) House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(2), is suspended to permit 1-10 the committee to omit the phrase "multiunit residential property" 1-11 from the text of Section 376.320(a), Local Government Code, as 1-12 added by SECTION 1 of the bill, changing the subsection to read as 1-13 follows: 1-14 (a) The district may not impose a tax, impact fee, or 1-15 assessment on a residential property or condominium. 1-16 Explanation: This change is necessary to change the types of 1-17 property that are subject to an exemption. 1-18 (2) House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(2), is suspended to permit 1-19 the committee to omit Section 376.324(d)(4), Local Government Code, 1-20 as added by SECTION 1 of the bill, which reads as follows: 1-21 (4) participate with other entities. 1-22 Explanation: This change is necessary to delete the 1-23 remainder of Section 376.324, Local Government Code, which corrects 1-24 an inadvertent error in the Senate Committee amendment. 2-1 (3) House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit 2-2 the committee to change the text of SECTION 3 of the bill to read 2-3 as follows: 2-4 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding Section 376.309, Local Government 2-5 Code, as added by this Act: 2-6 (1) the initial board of directors of the East 2-7 Downtown Management District consists of: 2-8 Pos.
