R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Christopher Alan Gonzalez of Jacksonville has
 1-2     completed the rigorous requirements necessary to attain Eagle Scout
 1-3     status, and he is truly worthy of special recognition at this time;
 1-4     and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A senior at Jacksonville High School, Eagle Scout
 1-6     Gonzalez will graduate on May 29, 1999, and he plans to continue
 1-7     his education at The University of Texas at Austin, where he will
 1-8     study electrical engineering; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, This remarkable young man is a two-year honor
1-10     student and a former member of the Jacksonville High School band,
1-11     and throughout his pursuit of scholastic achievement he has
1-12     undoubtedly employed the many leadership skills that he has learned
1-13     during his years as a scout; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez's advancement to the rank of Eagle
1-15     Scout is a source of great pride to his family, friends, and fellow
1-16     scouts, particularly to his parents, Robert and Terrie Gonzalez,
1-17     and his sisters, Lauren and Sandy Gonzalez, and it is indeed a
1-18     pleasure to commemorate this significant milestone in his life;
1-19     now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby honor Christopher Alan Gonzalez on the occasion
1-22     of his Eagle Scout Court of Honor and commend him for his
1-23     dedication to achieving and promoting scouting's ideals; and, be it
1-24     further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Eagle Scout Gonzalez as an expression of high regard
 2-3     by the Texas House of Representatives.
