                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     the Munday High School Mogulettes 800-meter relay team for winning
 1-3     the 1999 UIL Class 1A gold medal; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Competing at Mike Myers Stadium on The University of
 1-5     Texas at Austin campus, the Mogulette 800-meter relay team,
 1-6     comprising Nicole Urbanczyk, Laci Myers, Amanda Myers, and Anna
 1-7     Marie Waldrip, ran a great race that was highlighted by smooth
 1-8     baton exchanges and the team finished almost a full second ahead of
 1-9     the second-place team; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The winning effort in the 800-meter relay was an
1-11     inspiration to the entire Munday High School squad, and helped
1-12     propel the Mogulettes to the team title in Class 1A; and
1-13           WHEREAS, These four exceptional young athletes truly
1-14     exemplify the qualities of determination and dedication, and it is
1-15     indeed appropriate that they be honored for their exceptional
1-16     performance at the state track and field tournament; now,
1-17     therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby congratulate Nicole Urbanczyk, Laci Myers,
1-20     Amanda Myers, and Anna Marie Waldrip on winning the gold medal in
1-21     the 1999 UIL Class 1A 800-meter relay and extend to them sincere
1-22     best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
1-23           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-24     prepared for the relay team members as an expression of high regard
 2-1     by the Texas House of Representatives.
