                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State
 1-2     of Texas, 76th Legislature, Regular Session, 1999, That House Rule
 1-3     13, Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule
 1-4     13, Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
 1-5     resolve the differences on House Bill No. 2175, relating to the
 1-6     regulation of the practice of chiropractic, to consider and take
 1-7     actions on the following matter:
 1-8           House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1) is suspended to permit the
 1-9     committee to change the text of SECTION 4(a) of the bill to read as
1-10     follows:
1-11           (a)  Except as provided by Subsection (b) of this section,
1-12     the remedy for an offense or violation under Section 5a(c) or 19,
1-13     Chapter 94, Acts of the 51st Legislature, Regular Session, 1949
1-14     (Article 4512b, Vernon's Texas  Civil Statutes),  regardless of
1-15     whether the offense or violation is committed before, on, or after
1-16     the effective date of this Act, is the remedy provided by Section
1-17     5a(c), Chapter 94, Acts of the 51st Legislature, Regular Session,
1-18     1949 (Article 4512b, Vernon's Texas  Civil Statutes), as amended by
1-19     this Act.
1-20           Explanation:  This change is necessary to conform the
1-21     citations in the transitional material of the bill to the sections
1-22     affected by the amendatory provisions of the bill.
