R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Aledo High School football team has been chosen
 1-2     to participate in the 1999 Disney Game of the Week Kick-Off
 1-3     Classic, and this outstanding honor is indeed worthy of special
 1-4     recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Kaylee Scholarship Association,
 1-6     this spectacular competition is being held at Disney's Wide World
 1-7     of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, on August 26-29, 1999; head
 1-8     coach Tim Buchanan and the Aledo Bearcats, the 1998 Class 3A,
 1-9     Division I, state champions, will kick off their 1999 season by
1-10     competing in this event against an equally formidable out-of-state
1-11     opponent; and
1-12           WHEREAS, The Bearcats will be accompanied in Florida by a
1-13     host of invaluable supporters, including Aledo High School
1-14     principal Lynn McKinney, the school's cheerleaders, and numerous
1-15     other family, friends, and students; and
1-16           WHEREAS, The Aledo High School Bearcats have distinguished
1-17     themselves as a high school football powerhouse, and it is indeed
1-18     fitting to pay tribute to them for being chosen to represent the
1-19     Lone Star State in the Disney Game of the Week Kick-Off Classic;
1-20     now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby congratulate the Aledo High School football team
1-23     for being selected to compete in the 1999 Disney Game of the Week
1-24     Kick-Off Classic and extend to them sincere best wishes for a
 2-1     successful game; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for the Aledo High School football team as an expression
 2-4     of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
