                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, May 21, 1999, will forever be a special day in the
 1-2     lives of Christina Delores Stokes and Lowell Maurice Stokes, for it
 1-3     marked the occasion of the birth of their adorable baby boy, Andrew
 1-4     Wilson Stokes; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Andrew Wilson weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces when
 1-6     he was born at 12:10 p.m. at Columbia West Medical Center in El
 1-7     Paso on this celebrated day in May; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, The long-awaited arrival of this treasured new Texan
 1-9     has brought great joy to his parents, and Andrew will surely thrive
1-10     in the loving embrace formed by his parents, extended family, and
1-11     friends--a circle that will undoubtedly nurture him throughout his
1-12     life; and
1-13           WHEREAS, The birth of a baby is one of life's most treasured
1-14     events, and it gives the members of this chamber great pleasure to
1-15     formally announce the birth of a new citizen of the Lone Star State
1-16     and to congratulate his parents; now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby officially commemorate the birth of Andrew
1-19     Wilson Stokes and extend heartfelt congratulations to Christina and
1-20     Lowell Stokes on the birth of their beloved  son; and, be it
1-21     further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Andrew Wilson Stokes and his parents as an expression
1-24     of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
