R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Erik Paulsen for the hard work and dedication he has shown as a
 1-3     staff member in the office of Representative Glen Maxey during the
 1-4     76th Legislature; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Erik Paulsen was born and raised up real tall on
 1-6     Long Island, New York, and "Young Erik," as he is called in the
 1-7     office, attended Brown University where he was a socialist, but
 1-8     only on weekends; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, "Young Erik" did infiltrate Austin after graduation
1-10     in order to convert the country conservatives to his way of
1-11     thinking; he also studied hard at the feet of Representative Maxey
1-12     and learned liberals in Texas are as rare as tears at a Boot Hill
1-13     burying; and
1-14           WHEREAS, "Young Erik" transformed himself into the best
1-15     dressed aide in the office, and he answered the telephone faster
1-16     than a prairie fire with a tail-wind; his transformation caused
1-17     "Young Erik" to become as about inconspicuous as a pink saddle, and
1-18     he is indeed deserving of special recognition at this time; now,
1-19     therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby commend Erik Paulsen for his skillful work as a
1-22     legislative aide for Representative Maxey and extend to him sincere
1-23     best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for Erik Paulsen as an expression of high regard by the
 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
