No. 1292 76R17792 BE-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride 1-2 in recognizing Robin Chandler for her service in the office of 1-3 State Representative Glen Maxey throughout the 76th legislative 1-4 session; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Ms. Chandler grew up in the windy city of Chicago 1-6 and was a toddler in that toddlin' town, but like the bumper 1-7 sticker says, "she got to Texas as fast as she could" and then 1-8 settled in Austin; alas, for all the Lone Star spirit this 1-9 remarkable woman possesses, her nasal vowels and Northern 1-10 vocabulary betray her Yankee origins, and when she speaks, everyone 1-11 listens--but few understood until a translator was hired; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Though slight of stature, Liebchen, as she is known 1-13 to her office mates, is possessed of a wisdom that makes her tower 1-14 over her coworkers; she has also drawn extensively on her skills as 1-15 a trained social worker to enforce parity in the office 1-16 refrigerator; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Ms. Chandler has been a reassuring presence in the 1-18 workplace, though when excited she's about as quiet as a teaspoon 1-19 in a garbage disposal; and 1-20 WHEREAS, The fast-paced days and hectic nights of a 1-21 legislative session demand that even the best of employees get 1-22 better; Robin Chandler has risen to this challenge with the utmost 1-23 grace and professionalism, and it is a great pleasure to recognize 1-24 her at this time; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby commend the work of Robin Chandler as a member 2-3 of State Representative Glen Maxey's staff and extend to her best 2-4 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Ms. Chandler as an expression of high regard by the 2-7 Texas House of Representatives.
