R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Melinda Puente for her dedicated service as a staff member of
 1-3     Representative Glen Maxey during the 76th legislative session; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Melinda was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio; in
 1-5     Texas, "middle" means smack dab in the heart of, which is precisely
 1-6     where she has found herself as a legislative aide; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Through no fault of her own, she is affectionately
 1-8     known as "Crazy Red," and as a legislative aide, "Crazy Red" moves
 1-9     through the Capitol as fast as bad news at a church social; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Soon "Crazy Red" will be known as "Dr. Crazy Red,"
1-11     as she is receiving her doctorate from the School of Public Health
1-12     of The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, but
1-13     she would still rather have a pedicure than a pedigree; and
1-14           WHEREAS, When not toiling away in the office, "Crazy Red" can
1-15     often be found sipping on a Texpresso, her drink of choice; a truly
1-16     invaluable staff member, "Crazy Red" is indeed worthy of special
1-17     recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby commend Melinda Puente for her hard work and
1-20     diligence as a legislative aide and extend to her sincere best
1-21     wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Melinda Puente as an expression of high regard by the
1-24     Texas House of Representatives.
