R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State 1-2 of Texas, 76th Legislature, Regular Session, 1999, That House Rule 1-3 13, Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 1-4 13, Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to 1-5 resolve the differences on House Bill No. 1861, relating to 1-6 increasing private investments in transportation infrastructure in 1-7 the border region, to consider and take action on the following 1-8 matter: 1-9 House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the 1-10 committee to change text in Section 201.109(b), Transportation 1-11 Code, so that the language reads as follows: 1-12 (7) increasing private investment in the 1-13 transportation infrastructure, including the acquisition of 1-14 causeways, bridges, tunnels, turnpikes, or other transportation 1-15 facilities, in the border region, including the counties of 1-16 Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Brewster, Brooks, Cameron, Crockett, 1-17 Culberson, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, El Paso, Frio, Hidalgo, 1-18 Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kerr, Kimble, 1-19 Kinney, Kleberg, La Salle, Live Oak, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, 1-20 Nueces, Pecos, Presidio, Real, Reeves, San Patricio, Starr, 1-21 Sutton, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, Webb, Willacy, Zapata, and 1-22 Zavala. 1-23 Explanation: This change is necessary to specify items 1-24 included in the transportation infrastructure in the border region.
