R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The golden wedding anniversary of two outstanding
1-2 Texans is truly a memorable occasion worthy of special recognition,
1-3 and William Eugene Williams and Vesta Hillsamer Williams of
1-4 Victoria will soon have the privilege of commemorating such a
1-5 milestone in their marriage on September 3, 1999; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Williams are the proud parents of four
1-7 children: Geanie W. Morrison and her husband, Jack R. Morrison;
1-8 Jeffery L. Williams and his wife, Wanda S. Williams; Carol L.
1-9 Williams; and Wayne E. Williams and his wife, Mary Catherine
1-10 Williams; this devoted couple are also the grandparents of Lauri
1-11 Morrison Perry and her husband, Chris Perry; Matthew Morrison; and
1-12 Alex Williams, each of whom has been a source of great joy; and
1-13 WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Williams have
1-14 shared a union filled with many happy times and cherished family
1-15 memories; built on a solid foundation of love and support, their
1-16 marriage has withstood the challenges that have come their way
1-17 through the years, and it is indeed appropriate that this devoted
1-18 couple be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate William Eugene Williams and Vesta
1-21 Hillsamer Williams on the occasion of their 50th wedding
1-22 anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for continued
1-23 happiness; and, be it further
1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-1 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Williams as an expression of high regard
2-2 by the Texas House of Representatives.
