                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to
 1-2     congratulate Kristy Lora Mikus and John Michael Eanes on their
 1-3     engagement and forthcoming wedding; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin will be the setting
 1-5     for the wedding ceremony on July 24, 1999, with a reception to
 1-6     follow at the Texas Federated Women's Club Mansion in Austin; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, The bride-to-be is the daughter of Pauline and Don
 1-8     Mikus of Round Rock and the granddaughter of Winniefred Mikus of
 1-9     Taylor and the late Thomas Mikus; Mr. Eanes is the son of Marilyn
1-10     and Phil Eanes of Round Rock and the grandson of Sue Watson of
1-11     Cameron, Archie Roberts of Lockhart, and the late Idell Roberts;
1-12     and
1-13           WHEREAS, Both the prospective bride and groom are graduates
1-14     of Round Rock High School; Ms. Mikus earned a bachelor of science
1-15     degree from Southwest Texas State University, where she was
1-16     affiliated with Chi Omega sorority, and she is currently a
1-17     fourth-grade teacher for the Houston Independent School District;
1-18     Mr. Eanes completed a bachelor of business administration degree at
1-19     The University of Texas at Austin and is employed as a
1-20     budget/expense analyst with Stage Stores, Inc., in Houston; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Attending her sister as maid of honor will be
1-22     Kimberly Mikus of Austin; bridesmaids include Kimberly Hanley,
1-23     Laura Tritle, Stefani Patch, and Chrissy Eanes, sister of the
1-24     groom; Kylie Valentine will serve as the flower girl; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, Todd Glasgow will serve as best man for Mr. Eanes,
 2-2     and his groomsmen include David Fleming, Lindsey Hearn, Clinton
 2-3     Kasprzyk, and Tag Ward; the ushers are Matt Matheson, Clayton
 2-4     Kasprzyk, and Ray Faust, and David Hall will be the ring bearer;
 2-5     and
 2-6           WHEREAS, It is truly a pleasure for the members of this
 2-7     chamber to join the families and friends of this devoted couple in
 2-8     offering our heartfelt congratulations at this time; now,
 2-9     therefore, be it
2-10           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
2-11     Legislature hereby congratulate Kristy Lora Mikus and John Michael
2-12     Eanes on their engagement and forthcoming marriage and extend to
2-13     them best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together; and, be it
2-14     further
2-15           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-16     prepared for Ms. Mikus and Mr. Eanes as an expression of high
2-17     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
