AN ACT 1-1 relating to the notice required to be posted at a hospital or 1-2 nursing home prohibiting the carrying of a handgun by a person 1-3 licensed to carry a concealed handgun. 1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 411.204, Government Code, 1-6 is amended to read as follows: 1-7 (b) A hospital licensed under Chapter 241, Health and Safety 1-8 Code, or a nursing home licensed under Chapter 242, Health and 1-9 Safety Code, shall prominently display at each entrance to the 1-10 hospital or nursing home, as appropriate, a sign that complies with 1-11 the requirements of Subsection (c) other than the requirement that 1-12 the sign include on its face the number "51". 1-13 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the 1-14 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-15 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-16 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-17 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 1-18 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 1-19 passage, and it is so enacted. _______________________________ _______________________________ President of the Senate Speaker of the House I hereby certify that S.B.
