                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to bonds of certain navigation districts.
1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-4 SECTION 1. Section 60.350, Water Code, is repealed.
1-5 SECTION 2. (a) The repeal by this Act of Section 60.350,
1-6 Water Code, does not affect the applicability of Section 49.181,
1-7 Water Code, to bonds with regard to which an application and report
1-8 were submitted to the Texas Natural Resource Conservation
1-9 Commission under Section 49.181(b), Water Code, before the
1-10 effective date of this Act. Those bonds are governed by Section
1-11 49.181, Water Code, and Section 60.350, Water Code, continues in
1-12 effect as to those bonds for that purpose.
1-13 (b) The repeal by this Act of Section 60.350, Water Code,
1-14 does not affect the applicability of Section 49.183, Water Code, to
1-15 bonds issued before the effective date of this Act. Those bonds
1-16 are governed by Section 49.183, Water Code, and Section 60.350,
1-17 Water Code, continues in effect as to those bonds for that purpose.
1-18 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-19 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-20 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-21 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-22 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-23 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-24 passage, and it is so enacted.
