 1-6                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-7                                   AN ACT
 1-8     relating to bonds of certain navigation districts.
 1-9           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-10           SECTION 1.  Section 60.350, Water Code, is repealed.
1-11           SECTION 2.  (a)  The repeal by this Act of Section 60.350,
1-12     Water Code, does not affect the applicability of Section 49.181,
1-13     Water Code, to bonds with regard to which an application and report
1-14     were submitted to the Texas Natural Resource Conservation
1-15     Commission under Subsection (b), Section 49.181, Water Code, before
1-16     the effective date of this Act.  Those bonds are governed by
1-17     Section 49.181, Water Code, and Section 60.350, Water Code,
1-18     continues in effect as to those bonds for that purpose.
1-19           (b)  The repeal by this Act of Section 60.350, Water Code,
1-20     does not affect the applicability of Section 49.183, Water Code, to
1-21     bonds issued before the effective date of this Act.  Those bonds
1-22     are governed by Section 49.183, Water Code, and Section 60.350,
1-23     Water Code, continues in effect as to those bonds for that purpose.
1-24           SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-25     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-26     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-27     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-28     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-29     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-30     passage, and it is so enacted.
