AN ACT
1-1 relating to the reporting duties of emergency services districts
1-2 and rural fire prevention districts.
1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-4 SECTION 1. Subsection (d), Section 775.036, Health and
1-5 Safety Code, is amended to read as follows:
1-6 (d) Subsection (a)(4) does not apply to the [The] board of a
1-7 district located wholly in one county [shall include in the report
1-8 required under Subsection (a)(4):]
1-9 [(1) the number and type of emergency responses made
1-10 within and outside the district;]
1-11 [(2) a listing of all debt incurred by the district;
1-12 and]
1-13 [(3) any other financial matter required by order of
1-14 the commissioners court].
1-15 SECTION 2. Subsection (d), Section 794.035, Health and
1-16 Safety Code, is amended to read as follows:
1-17 (d) Subsection (a)(4) does not apply to the [The] board of a

1-19 required under Subsection (a)(4):]
1-20 [(1) the number and type of emergency responses made

2-2 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 1999.
2-3 SECTION 4. The importance of this legislation and the
2-4 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
2-5 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
2-6 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
2-7 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
