No. 869 By: Moncrief 1-7 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-8 AN ACT 1-9 relating to the treatment of property appraised by more than one 1-10 appraisal district in the determination of school district property 1-11 values by the comptroller of public accounts. 1-12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-13 SECTION 1. Section 403.302, Government Code, is amended by 1-14 adding Subsection (h) to read as follows: 1-15 (h) If the appraised value of property as entered on the 1-16 appraisal records of the appraisal district that appraises property 1-17 for the school district is the value calculated under Section 1-18 6.025(e), Tax Code, that value is considered for purposes of this 1-19 section to be, as applicable, the market value or productivity 1-20 value of the property determined by the appraisal district. 1-21 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1999. 1-22 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-23 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-24 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-25 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-26 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended. 1-27 * * * * *
