AN ACT
 1-1     relating to the control of aflatoxin.
 1-2           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-3           SECTION 1.  Section 141.002, Agriculture Code, is amended by
 1-4     adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
 1-5           (e)  Whole seed and whole grain offered for retail sale for
 1-6     wildlife feed are commercial feeds subject to this chapter.
 1-7           SECTION 2.  Subchapter A, Chapter 141, Agriculture Code, is
 1-8     amended by adding Section 141.007 to read as follows:
 1-9           Sec. 141.007.  AFLATOXIN CONTROL.  The service shall
1-10     establish by rule aflatoxin contamination levels considered safe
1-11     for whole seed and whole grain offered for retail sale for wildlife
1-12     feed.
1-13           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1999.
1-14           SECTION 4.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-15     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-16     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-17     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-18     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
