                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                                       AN ACT
 1-1     relating to the amount paid for bounties for predatory animals.
 1-2           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-3           SECTION 1.  Subsection (c), Section 825.031, Health and
 1-4     Safety Code, is amended to read as follows:
 1-5           (c)  The commissioners court may determine the amount of a
 1-6     bounty to be paid under this section for each animal.  The bounty
 1-7     shall be paid from the general fund of the county by a warrant
 1-8     drawn on that fund by the county judge on presentation of proof of
 1-9     destruction required by the commissioners court.  A bounty paid
1-10     under this section may not exceed $50 [$20] for each animal unless
1-11     approved by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission.
