 1-7 AN ACT
1-8 relating to the funding of the Seaborne Conservation Corps or a

1-10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 87, Education Code, is
1-12 amended by adding Section 87.207 to read as follows:
1-13 Sec. 87.207. SEABORNE CONSERVATION CORPS. If the board of

1-17 the program is entitled, for each student enrolled, to allotments
1-18 from the Foundation School Program under Chapter 42 as if the
1-19 program were a school district, except that the program has a local

1-23 SECTION 2. Funding under Section 87.207, Education Code, as

1-26 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the

1-28 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-29 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-30 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-31 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
