                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                                       AN ACT
 1-1     relating to the allocation of revenue from certain hotel taxes for
 1-2     certain purposes in certain municipalities located in a park and
 1-3     recreation district.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 351, Tax Code, is amended
 1-6     by adding Section 351.107 to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 351.107.  ALLOCATION OF REVENUE:  CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES
 1-8     LOCATED IN A PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT.  If the tax authorized
 1-9     under this chapter is imposed by a municipality with a population
1-10     of more than 25,000 located in a county in which a park and
1-11     recreation district has been created under Chapter 324, Local
1-12     Government Code, the use of money received from the tax imposed
1-13     under this chapter to clean and maintain rivers located within the
1-14     boundaries of the municipality complies with the requirements of
1-15     Section 351.101.
1-16           SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-17     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-18     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-19     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-20     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-21     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-22     passage, and it is so enacted.
