AN ACT
 1-1     relating to the creation of the County Criminal Court No. 11 of
 1-2     Dallas County, Texas.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1.  Subsection (b), Section 25.0591, Government Code,
 1-5     is amended to read as follows:
 1-6           (b)  Dallas County has the following county criminal courts:
 1-7                 (1)  County Criminal Court of Dallas County, Texas;
 1-8                 (2)  County Criminal Court No. 2 of Dallas County,
 1-9     Texas;
1-10                 (3)  County Criminal Court No. 3 of Dallas County,
1-11     Texas;
1-12                 (4)  County Criminal Court Number Four of Dallas
1-13     County, Texas;
1-14                 (5)  County Criminal Court Number Five of Dallas
1-15     County, Texas;
1-16                 (6)  County Criminal Court Number 6 of Dallas County,
1-17     Texas;
1-18                 (7)  County Criminal Court Number 7 of Dallas County,
1-19     Texas;
1-20                 (8)  County Criminal Court No. 8 of Dallas County,
1-21     Texas;
1-22                 (9)  County Criminal Court No. 9 of Dallas County,
1-23     Texas; [and]
1-24                 (10)  County Criminal Court No. 10 of Dallas County,
 2-1     Texas; and
 2-2                 (11)  County Criminal Court No. 11 of Dallas County,
 2-3     Texas.
 2-4           SECTION 2.  Section 25.0593, Government Code, is amended by
 2-5     adding Subsection (b) to read as follows:
 2-6           (b)  The County Criminal Court No. 11 of Dallas County,
 2-7     Texas, shall give preference to cases designated by an order signed
 2-8     by a majority of the judges of the county criminal courts of Dallas
 2-9     County.
2-10           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1999.
2-11           SECTION 4.  The importance of this legislation and the
2-12     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
2-13     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
2-14     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
2-15     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
