 1-7     Amend SECTION 1 of S.B. No. 1867 (page 1, line 17, by striking
 1-8     "$200,000" and substituting "$100,000".
 1-9                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-10                                   AN ACT
1-11     relating to contributions to the State Pension Review Board.
1-12           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-13           SECTION 1.  Section 801.113, Government Code, is amended by
1-14     adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
1-15           (g)  Notwithstanding Subsection (c), the Teacher Retirement
1-16     System of Texas and the Employees Retirement System of Texas each
1-17     shall make an annual contribution of $200,000 to the board for
1-18     services performed by the board for the systems.  The contributions
1-19     are payable in a lump sum or in installments as provided by the
1-20     respective retirement systems.  The contributions shall be
1-21     deposited to the credit of the State Pension Review Board fund.
1-22           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1999.
1-23           SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-24     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-25     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-26     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-27     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
