SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is widely acclaimed
 1-2     and esteemed for its success in developing leadership and in
 1-3     nurturing good citizenship and patriotism in young men; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is sponsoring a
 1-5     legislative seminar to educate its members in the process of
 1-6     democratic government, both in theory and in practice; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, This valuable and comprehensive educational program
 1-8     will attract participants from throughout the state to acquaint
 1-9     DeMolay members with legislative procedures; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The DeMolay legislative seminar is to be held in
1-11     Austin on February 20 and 21, 1999, and February 19 and 20, 2000;
1-12     and
1-13           WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature heartily endorses the goals
1-14     and ideals of the Texas DeMolay Association legislative seminar;
1-15     now, therefore, be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas, in
1-17     accordance with senate and house rules of procedure and policies of
1-18     the Senate Administration Committee and the House Administration
1-19     Committee, hereby grant the Texas DeMolay Association permission to
1-20     use the chambers of the senate and house of representatives in the
1-21     State Capitol on February 20 and 21, 1999, and February 19 and 20,
1-22     2000, for its legislative seminar, unless the Texas Senate and
1-23     Texas House of Representatives are in session on those dates.
