 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 18
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to recognize
 1-4     Anne S. Wynne for her years of service to the State of Texas
 1-5     as a member of the Texas Transportation Commission; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Appointed to the Texas Transportation Commission
 1-7     by Governor Ann Richards in January, 1993, Anne Wynne has been
 1-8     part of the three member commission which oversees statewide
 1-9     activities of the Texas Department of Transportation; and
1-10           WHEREAS, After graduating from Smith College with a
1-11     bachelor of arts degree in 1975, she earned her law degree
1-12     from The University of Texas School of Law in 1978; and
1-13           WHEREAS, She spent 12 years in private practice in Austin,
1-14     specializing in the fields of real estate development and
1-15     litigation; and
1-16           WHEREAS, A member of the Texas Bar Association, she is a
1-17     member and past chairman of Saint Edward's University Board and
1-18     served on the board of the Austin Chamber of Commerce; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Active in civic endeavors, Anne Wynne has been a
1-20     member of the Austin Mental Health Association, the Laguna Gloria
1-21     Art Museum, and The University of Texas Women's Athletic Advisory
1-22     Council; and
1-23           WHEREAS, Serving on the Board of Advisors for the Center
1-24     for Public Policy Dispute Resolution, Anne Wynne is also a member
 2-1     of this noted organization; and
 2-2           WHEREAS, Anne Wynne and her husband, Fred Ellis, have one
 2-3     son, Alex Ellis; and
 2-4           WHEREAS, Anne Wynne has handled her responsibilities most
 2-5     efficiently and with utmost consideration for those whom she has
 2-6     so conscientiously served; and
 2-7           WHEREAS, Through her leadership, organizational skills,
 2-8     and commitment in her distinguished career, Anne Wynne has
 2-9     contributed significantly to the Texas Transportation Commission
2-10     and the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it
2-11           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-12     76th Legislature, hereby commend the career of service of
2-13     Anne Wynne and express sincere appreciation to her for her
2-14     many years of dedication; and, be it further
2-15           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-16     her as an expression of the highest esteem of the Texas Senate.
