1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27
 1-2           WHEREAS, Roy Hance and Randa Hance placed great faith in the
 1-3     future when they married 50 years ago, and they have been amply
 1-4     rewarded as they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
 1-6     of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Hance have continued to embrace
 1-7     traditional family and moral values; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Randa and Roy met in early 1948 and were married in
 1-9     December, 1948; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Throughout the years, the fortunate couple has
1-11     strengthened their love and devotion as together they have
1-12     experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hance are the proud parents of one son,
1-14     Larry, and have a lovely daughter-in-law, Jill; the anniversary
1-15     pair are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Ryan and Braden;
1-16     and
1-17           WHEREAS, The couple was honored with a golden wedding
1-18     reception, hosted by their family, at The Shores; and
1-19           WHEREAS, The long and successful union of Mr. and Mrs. Hance
1-20     is an inspiration to all; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-22     76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
1-23     Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hance on the auspicious occasion of their
1-24     50th wedding anniversary; and, be it further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-2     this distinguished couple as a memento of this notable day in
 2-3     in their lives.
