1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 33 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Minnie Davie O'Dell 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of Houston in mourning the loss of Minnie Davie O'Dell, who died 1-7 January 8, 1999, at the age of 80; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Minnie O'Dell was dedicated to her work as a 1-9 homemaker and was an exemplary lady who was respected in the 1-10 community for her many accomplishments; she was predeceased by 1-11 her husband, John O'Dell, and by her infant son, Richard; and 1-12 WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, she 1-13 gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and 1-14 valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Minnie O'Dell was a devoted wife, mother, 1-16 and grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be 1-17 treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, 1-18 be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 1-21 bereaved family of Minnie Davie O'Dell: her son and 1-22 daughter-in-law, John O'Dell, Jr., and Holly O'Dell; her daughter 1-23 and son-in-law, Brenda Yeager and Rick Yeager; and her seven 1-24 grandchildren, Monica, Catherine, Ben, Matthew, David, Jonathan, 2-1 and Tim; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-3 members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-4 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-5 in memory of Minnie Davie O'Dell. 2-6 Ellis 2-7 ______________________________________ 2-8 President of the Senate 2-9 I hereby certify that the above 2-10 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-11 on January 20, 1999, by a rising vote. 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Secretary of the Senate 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 Member, Texas Senate
