1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 79
 1-2           WHEREAS, Constable James H. Kohler has given exemplary
 1-3     service to Hays County and the State of Texas and has been
 1-4     recognized for his selfless performance of his duty for 20
 1-5     years; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, He was first elected constable in 1978 from
 1-7     Precinct 2 in Hays County; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Constable Kohler has served the constituents
 1-9     of Precinct 2 faithfully in the discharge of his duties and
1-10     has been rewarded for his thoughtfulness and vigilance with
1-11     reelection to his post six times; and
1-12           WHEREAS, The vote from his last election was an emphatic
1-13     expression of voter approval with his receiving 84.5 percent
1-14     of the vote; and
1-15           WHEREAS, A native Texan, James Kohler was born in 1939
1-16     at Fort Sam Houston, and he has served his country in the
1-17     United States Armed Forces, receiving an honorable discharge
1-18     in 1958; and
1-19           WHEREAS, He is a man of integrity and honor, as well as a
1-20     loving family man, and he has been married to his wife, Sandra,
1-21     for over 39 years; and
1-22           WHEREAS, Constable Kohler is proud of his growing family:
1-23     his daughters, Sandra Jean and Cynthia Diane; his son,
1-24     James H., Jr.; and his six granddaughters; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, Constable Kohler is a valued member of the
 2-2     community and is a member of the North Hays County Optimist
 2-3     Club and the Hays County Livestock Exposition; now, therefore,
 2-4     be it
 2-5           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-6     76th Legislature, hereby express its deepest gratitude
 2-7     to Constable James H. Kohler for his many years of service
 2-8     to Hays County and the State of Texas; and, be it further
 2-9           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-10     this honored public servant as a token of the highest regard of
2-11     the Texas Senate.
