 1-4                                     of
 1-5                             Jesus C. Rodriguez
 1-6           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 1-7     citizens of Robstown in mourning the loss of Jesus C. Rodriguez,
 1-8     who died Tuesday, January 26, 1999, at the age of 83; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico, Jesus Rodriguez
1-10     lived in Robstown most of his life; and
1-11           WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman and a hardworking family
1-12     man, Jesus Rodriguez was respected in the community for his many
1-13     accomplishments; and
1-14           WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
1-15     gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth,
1-16     and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him;
1-17     and
1-18           WHEREAS, A man of deep religious convictions,
1-19     Mr. Rodriguez was an active member of Templo Jerusalem Asemblea
1-20     de Dios Church; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Jesus Rodriguez was a devoted husband, father,
1-22     and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be
1-23     treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore,
1-24     be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-2     76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to
 2-3     the bereaved family of Jesus C. Rodriguez:  his wife,
 2-4     Ninfa Rodriguez; his sons, Eduardo and Jesse Rodriguez; his
 2-5     daughters, Mary Martinez, Sylvia Gutierrez, Linda Mae Gonzalez,
 2-6     Mary Lee Rodriguez, and Ninfa Rangel; his brother,
 2-7     Guadalupe Rodriguez; his sister, Dolores Mungia; and his
 2-8     34 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; and, be it further
 2-9           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-10     the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
2-11     the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
2-12     so in memory of Jesus Rodriguez.
