1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 141 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 1-3 recognize the Teen Court Program and the Teen Court Bar 1-4 Association of Texas; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Providing a valuable means of intervention in 1-6 the lives of teenagers, the Teen Court Program allows concerned 1-7 individuals in our communities to intervene in many criminal 1-8 activities involving adolescents; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Required to attend training sessions, Teen Court 1-10 volunteers also must be recommended by their coordinator and pass 1-11 the Bar Examination before being admitted to the Teen Court Bar 1-12 Association of Texas; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Furthering legal education, providing training, 1-14 and developing networking opportunities for the youth volunteers 1-15 are the main goals of the Teen Court Bar Association; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Volunteers Shaneka Reese, Emily Olson, Christi Casey, 1-17 Parvaneh Fakheri, Michael Jones, Jason Allen, Jeremy Gordon, 1-18 Devin Zakutney, Danielle Byno, Becky Reagan, Bethany Grohman, 1-19 Christi McDaniels, Ryan Cobb, Tremane Barclay, and Anthony Ortega 1-20 were recently inducted as charter members of the Teen Court Bar 1-21 Association of Texas; and 1-22 WHEREAS, All Texans are encouraged to congratulate the 1-23 inductees into the Teen Court Bar Association of Texas; now, 1-24 therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 76th Legislature, hereby acknowledge the positive impact 2-3 which the Teen Court and the Teen Court Bar Association have 2-4 on adolescent Texans; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an 2-6 expression of the high regard and esteem of the Texas Senate. 2-7 Nelson 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the above 2-11 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-12 on February 4, 1999. 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
