1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 156 1-2 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-3 promise, George Ballew advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, 1-4 Second, First, Star, and Life classes before attaining the rank 1-5 of Eagle Scout; and 1-6 WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine 1-7 young man becomes one of the privileged few who ever achieve this 1-8 distinguished honor; and 1-9 WHEREAS, In conducting a service project which allowed him 1-10 to exercise his leadership abilities, George has completed the 1-11 requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time 1-12 benefitted his community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This personable young man brings great honor to 1-14 himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps of 1-15 Eagles; and 1-16 WHEREAS, George Ballew is truly a shining example to his 1-17 troop and indeed all citizens of Texas; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 76th Legislature, hereby commend George Ballew of Troop 996 1-20 on his outstanding achievement; and, be it further 1-21 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 1-22 for Eagle Scout Ballew as an expression of admiration from the 1-23 Texas Senate. 1-24 Lindsay 2-1 ______________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the above 2-4 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-5 on February 8, 1999. 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
