1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 205 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-3 recognizing the Rolling Plains Industrial Foundation and in 1-4 proclaiming March 9, 1999, as Rolling Plains Industrial 1-5 Foundation Day; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A nonprofit organization, the Rolling Plains 1-7 Industrial Foundation is dedicated to the purpose of promoting 1-8 economic development throughout the 4,500-square-mile region 1-9 of Texas known as the Rolling Plains; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The foundation represents over 35,000 residents in 1-11 five counties and seven member communities; and 1-12 WHEREAS, The counties are Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Knox, and 1-13 Stonewall, and the communities are Anson, Aspermont, Hamlin, 1-14 Haskell, Knox City, Rotan, and Stamford; and 1-15 WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to pay tribute to the 1-16 members of this organization for stimulating our state's economy 1-17 through their own initiatives; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 76th Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Rolling Plains 1-20 Industrial Foundation on their many contributions to the Rolling 1-21 Plains region and to our state; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 1-23 foundation as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 1-24 Haywood 2-1 ______________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the above 2-4 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-5 on February 15, 1999. 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
