 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 255
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas congratulates
 1-4     Joyce Edwards Feinberg on her untiring work on behalf of the
 1-5     El Paso community; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, For the last three years, Joyce Feinberg has served
 1-7     as the executive director of the Sun Bowl Association after having
 1-8     previously held the positions of vice president for marketing,
 1-9     vice president for coronation, president elect, and president of
1-10     the board in 1995; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Currently, her time and energy are also focused on
1-12     her work on the Young Women's Christian Association Metropolitan
1-13     Advisory Board and the El Paso Museum of Art Advisory Board
1-14     Accessions Committee and as an officer for the Football Bowl
1-15     Association; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Joyce Feinberg's commitment to a diverse range of
1-17     civic concerns reflects her desire to make a difference in El Paso
1-18     society; others have recognized this commitment and have chosen
1-19     her as the president of the Lindbergh Elementary Parent-Teacher
1-20     Association and Saint Clements Parent Council; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Her contribution of valuable volunteer hours to
1-22     organizations such as Leadership El Paso, United Way, Keep El Paso
1-23     Beautiful, the El Paso Museum of Art, and the El Paso Rotary Club,
1-24     to name a few, have helped make a difference to the citizens of
 2-1     El Paso; and
 2-2           WHEREAS, In recognition of her many contributions to El Paso,
 2-3     Joyce Feinberg received the Distinguished Leadership Award from
 2-4     the National Association Community Leadership, and in 1993 the
 2-5     First Lady of El Paso award from Beta Sigma Phi, while she was
 2-6     chosen for a place on the Rotary Group Exchange Study Team to
 2-7     Sweden in 1996; and
 2-8           WHEREAS, The loving wife of Albert Feinberg, she cherishes
 2-9     her beloved sons, Asher and Cole; now, therefore, be it
2-10           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-11     76th Legislature, hereby commend Joyce Edwards Feinberg for
2-12     her distinguished contributions to her community; and, be it
2-13     further
2-14           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-15     Joyce Feinberg as a heartfelt expression of gratitude and high
2-16     regard of the Texas Senate.
