1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 259
 1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
 1-3     recognizing El Paso County Judge Charles W. "Chuck" Mattox on his
 1-4     invaluable contributions to the El Paso community; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The president of Charles W. Mattox Enterprises and
 1-6     Mattox-Harvey Building and Investment Company, Chuck Mattox is
 1-7     a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a former Special Texas
 1-8     Ranger and former member of the El Paso County Sheriff's Posse; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, A highly respected community leader who generously
1-10     devotes time and energy to civic affairs, he has served as a
1-11     director of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce and as chairman of
1-12     the board for the Southwestern International Livestock Show and
1-13     Rodeo; since 1995, he has served as an El Paso County Judge; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Chuck Mattox is noted for his dedication to the
1-15     betterment of the El Paso community; and
1-16           WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Chuck Mattox is a source
1-17     of strength to area citizens, and he deserves recognition for his
1-18     leadership and his many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-20     76th Legislature, hereby commend Chuck Mattox on his exceptional
1-21     achievements and extend appreciation to him for his contributions
1-22     to El Paso County; and, be it further
1-23           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
1-24     as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
