1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 295 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Anissa Marie Cantu 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of San Antonio in mourning the untimely loss of Anissa Marie Cantu, 1-7 who died February 17, 1999, at the age of 27; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Anissa Marie Cantu will be greatly missed by the 1-9 members of her community, who remember her for her love of life 1-10 and her devotion to her family and friends; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Blessed with a friendly disposition and warm nature, 1-12 Anissa Marie was admired and loved by her family and many friends; 1-13 and 1-14 WHEREAS, A young woman with an outgoing personality, 1-15 Anissa Marie had a wholehearted interest in everything she 1-16 pursued; and 1-17 WHEREAS, The death of one so young is felt not only by her 1-18 family, but by everyone who knew her; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Her genuine warmth and good humor will be greatly 1-20 missed; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Anissa Marie Cantu leaves a legacy of compassion 1-22 and commitment which will be cherished by those who lived and 1-23 worked with her; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 76th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 2-2 members of her family: her parents, Hector J. and Angelica Cantu; 2-3 her sister, Zina Cantu; her brother and sister-in-law, 2-4 Tito and Laura Cantu; her maternal grandmother, Lucrescia Cantu; 2-5 and her godson, Angelo Anaya Cantu; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-7 the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-8 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this 2-9 day, it do so in memory of Anissa Marie Cantu. 2-10 Luna 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 President of the Senate 2-13 I hereby certify that the above 2-14 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-15 on February 25, 1999, by a rising vote. 2-16 ______________________________________ 2-17 Secretary of the Senate 2-18 ______________________________________ 2-19 Member, Texas Senate
