1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 358 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-3 recognizing March 10, 1999, as Leadership Irving-Las Colinas Day; 1-4 and 1-5 WHEREAS, For 14 years, the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber 1-6 of Commerce has conducted leadership programs for the purpose of 1-7 encouraging area residents to further develop their leadership 1-8 skills and acquire a working knowledge of the community; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The programs teach citizens about the inner workings 1-10 of private and public institutions and the avenues available to 1-11 them for making community contributions; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Citizens who participate in the leadership programs 1-13 have served successfully in such organizations as the Irving 1-14 City Council and the Irving Independent School District Board 1-15 of Trustees and on numerous other boards and commissions, 1-16 including the chamber's board of directors; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-18 76th Legislature, hereby commend the Greater Irving-Las Colinas 1-19 Chamber of Commerce on its leadership training programs and 1-20 extend best wishes for continued success; and, be it further 1-21 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a 1-22 memento of Leadership Irving-Las Colinas Day. 1-23 Nelson, Shapiro 1-24 ______________________________________ 1-25 President of the Senate 2-1 I hereby certify that the above 2-2 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-3 on March 8, 1999. 2-4 ______________________________________ 2-5 Secretary of the Senate 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 Member, Texas Senate 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
